For over 20 years, Catamount’s internship program has educated and invested in the future of the construction industry. In keeping with that tradition, we are honored to welcome 14 students from 9 universities to the 2024 Summer program, where they will receive invaluable hands-on experiences with Catamount teams across the company.

“We are excited to welcome 11 new students and 3 returning students to Catamount for the summer,” Merrill Bottoms, Talent Acquisition Manager commented. “Our internship program provides a personalized learning experience, complete with customized support directly related to the individual’s interests. Throughout the program, participants gain exposure to many types of work, verticals, and career areas with fun team building and networking opportunities along the way.”

This year, interns will gain firsthand experience in Estimating, Field Operations, and Project Management in our Commercial, Industrial, and Multifamily verticals. Throughout the program they will be given opportunities to strengthen their knowledge and confidence in the basic understanding of construction documents, onsite construction processes, submittals and RFIs, managing the scope of work during the bidding process, executing quality control and more.

This approach intentionally allows each student to engage with a wide range of roles within the AEC industry – better preparing them to make well-informed decisions as they move forward in their careers.

“We offer further support to our interns through scholarships sponsored by the Catamount Foundation, which is Catamount’s 501(c)3 dedicated to helping educate young people interested in the AEC industry,” Bottoms said. “Our aim is always to convert our interns into full time hires upon graduation!”
