At Catamount, our ESOP culture is more than just a point of pride—it’s the driving force behind everything we do. To close out 2024, we took a deep dive into our employee-owner engagement through our bi-annual survey, gaining valuable insights into how we serve our employee-owners and how we can continue to evolve. Our goal? To ensure we’re not just growing but thriving together as a team of dedicated employee-owners to achieve the best-in-class service for our clients.
“We’re incredibly proud of our dedicated and engaged employee-owners and their role in driving the continuous improvement of our business,” said Emily Livorsi, Vice President of People, Catamount. “For the second time in our recent history, we achieved a 100% response rate for the bi-annual employee engagement survey, which speaks to the caliber of our team and their commitment to our clients, projects, and each other!”
To us, employee-owner engagement means we strive to learn and grow together by promoting leadership at every level. Illustrating our commitment across the business, leadership held townhall-style meetings across each business unit to review survey results and action planning to move us forward. These meetings fostered deep discussions on key issues and set actionable milestones to drive change in processes, behaviors, and training and development.
“It was truly inspiring to hear directly from our employee-owners on their feedback and innovative ideas for advancing our business,” said James Benning, Co-CEO, Catamount. “Our unique ESOP culture shapes every decision and project, fueling a relentless commitment to accountability, excellence, and surpassing client expectations. The energy in these meetings was incredible—fantastic attendance, dynamic conversations, and a strong sense of engagement, with many stepping up to volunteer to lead projects that will drive real, impactful improvements!”
The concept of employee-owner engagement highlights the strength of the mental and emotional connection our people feel toward Catamount and the work we do for our clients. Taking full accountability to go above and beyond ensures our clients have the best experience and outcomes possible. For our employee-owners, it means greater dedication, more opportunities for personal and professional growth, and higher-quality work driven by our voices being heard and acted upon.
“Our ESOP culture is the foundation of everything we do, and this survey serves as a critical tool for identifying our strengths and uncovering opportunities for growth head-on,” said Maddie Binke, Senior Communications Manager and Ownership Culture Committee Chair. “By actively engaging with our employee-owners, as we did through this survey, we’re not just raising the bar—we’re continuously pushing ourselves to evolve and drive impactful change for a stronger future.”
As an employee-owned company, actively listening to our team’s feedback and identifying key growth areas is crucial to boosting morale, increasing satisfaction, and enhancing retention in a competitive labor market while delivering best-in-class service to our clients. It’s not enough to simply discuss our business; by turning ideas into action, we elevate ourselves and our people, paving the way for sustained success and a promising future.
