Catamount Constructors recently completed Spartan Ridge Building 2 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. This 286,000 square foot distribution center is a Class A industrial facility with immediate access to I-85. The property boasts 221 auto parking spaces, a 135-foot truck court, and 31 trailer spaces. The tilt-up concrete building also has 32-foot ceilings and 70 dock doors. Spartan Ridge Building 2 is adjacent to Spartan Ridge Building 1, a 273,000 square foot warehouse we completed in 2018. Both properties are strategically located close to BMW’s Spartanburg manufacturing campus, the Northfolk Southern Greer Inland Port, and Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport. Transportation can be up to 50% of supply chain costs (1), so location is key for industrial companies.

“For companies like BMW that don’t have warehouses, a logistics company ensures on-time delivery of parts from suppliers, according to Spartanburg County Councilman David Britt” (2).

The executive vice president of the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce’s Economic Futures Group, Carter Smith, said “the center helps reinforce Spartanburg County as a hub for manufacturing and logistics growth” (2).

Spartan Ridge Building 2 marks our fourth (4) project completed for Rooker. Rooker’s Vice President Construction, Alan W. Gray, said,

“Catamount’s communication through-out the construction process was efficient and effective, and was instrumental in keeping the job on schedule, as well as, kept change orders to a minimum. The supervision on site was exemplary and is reflected in the high quality of the final project. We would gladly recommend Catamount Constructors for future construction work, and we plan to work with their team again in the future.”

Thank you Rooker for the continued opportunities to work with your great team, and here’s to many more years of #sharedsuccess!
