Catamount Constructors is a 100% employee-owned company. This unique position allows us to provide our employee-owners with the ability to build their financial futures. Catamount became 100% employee-owned in 2017 – a natural transition for a company already comprised of people who went above and beyond to support each other and the company’s growth. 

Every January, Catamount employee-owners come together across all office locations to commemorate two significant ESOP milestones: 

1) Welcoming our new ESOP enrollees to the plan and honoring their 20% vesting status. 

2) Celebrate vested employee-owners earning an additional 20% vesting status.

Catamount’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) features a graded vesting schedule, allowing employee-owners to gradually gain ownership of their accounts. There are two entry dates, in January and July, for those who reach their one-year anniversary. For instance, employee-owners who joined the ESOP program in January 2024 started between July 1 and December 31, 2022. After completing one year of service and 1,000 hours worked, they enter the plan on the next entry date. After five years, they become 100% vested, fully benefiting from their ESOP account. This long-term approach fosters loyalty and supports the company’s growth.

In January 2024, Catamount was proud to welcome 34 new ESOP enrollees and announce 15 new 100% vested employee-owners companywide. Of our 334 current employee-owners, 109 of them are 100% vested, with that number continuing to grow every year.
