Prince Hall Masonic Temple Ribbon Cutting in Atlanta

Today marked an extraordinary milestone in Atlanta.

Catamount takes pride in serving as the general contractor for the renovation of the historic Prince Hall Masonic Temple and Lodge, a landmark that has stood for generations as a symbol of leadership, resilience, and community impact.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony on February 11, 2026, brought together civic leaders, elected officials, community members, and media outlets to celebrate the building’s restoration and renewed purpose. The many voices emphasize what this project symbolizes: a reinvestment in history.

The Prince Hall Masonic Temple and Lodge holds deep cultural and historical significance in Atlanta. Its restoration required careful planning, thoughtful coordination, and a disciplined commitment to preserving its legacy while preparing the space to serve future generations.

Our team approached the work with a clear sense of responsibility. Historic renovations demand careful precision: honor the building’s history by protecting original architectural details, incorporating structural and building-system upgrades within the existing structure, and sequencing construction to maintain integrity while updating the facility to current standards.

What makes projects like this truly meaningful is the lasting impact on the community. This building has seen decades of leadership, progress, and gathering. Ensuring it continues to serve that purpose is both a responsibility and a privilege.

We thank the Trust for Public Land for leading this effort, along with the National Park Service, the Prince Hall Masonic Order, the project partners, the trade contractors, and community leaders who entrusted us with this vital work.

Today’s celebration demonstrated a shared commitment to preserving history, strengthening community ties, and moving forward with respect for the past.
