At Catamount, we believe the future of construction is built by investing in people.
This summer, our team is excited to welcome 20 interns to our 2026 summer construction internship program, where they will join teams across the country to gain hands-on experience and contribute to projects shaping communities nationwide.
Representing 11 universities, including Auburn University, Louisiana State University, Clemson University, Colorado State University, Kennesaw State University, Texas A&M University, The University of Texas at San Antonio, Metropolitan State University of Denver, Oregon State University, Texas State University, and the University of Wyoming, this year’s cohort brings a diverse range of perspectives, experiences, and career aspirations to Catamount.
Interns will support projects and operations in Colorado, Texas, Missouri, Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina, gaining experience across multiple areas of the business. Eight interns are assigned to project sites, seven support project management teams, and four work alongside our estimating professionals. Four interns are also returning to Catamount this summer, building on the experience and relationships established during previous internships.
“One of the things that makes this program special is the opportunity for students to contribute to real projects and learn directly from experienced professionals,” said Merrill Diaz, Talent Acquisition Manager. “Our teams are committed to creating meaningful experiences that help interns build confidence, develop practical skills, and gain a better understanding of the many career paths available within the construction industry.”
As a nationwide, employee-owned general contractor, Catamount views internships as an important investment in the industry’s future. Interns work alongside mentors, participate in professional development opportunities, and gain exposure to the collaboration, problem-solving, and leadership required to successfully deliver projects.
“Our internship program reflects the culture we’ve worked hard to build,” said Melek Glasker, People Team Business Partner. “We want interns to feel welcomed, supported, and challenged throughout the summer. By providing opportunities to learn, contribute, and grow, we’re helping develop the next generation of construction professionals while strengthening our industry for the future.”
Whether they’re gaining experience in the field, supporting project teams, or contributing during preconstruction, each intern plays a valuable role in our work.
We’re proud to welcome the 2026 intern cohort and look forward to seeing their growth, contributions, and accomplishments throughout the 2026 construction internship program.
At Catamount, ownership is a mindset, and we’re excited to share that mindset with the next generation of builders.
