The Wide Ruins Community School Complex consists of new construction for a 37,000 SF K-6th grade school with classrooms and an administration wing, 2,703 SF dining facility, 17,000 SF 50-bed dormitory, on-site housing consisting of 14 residential units within eight buildings, a maintenance building totaling 65,000 SF. Exterior amenities and sitework include a sports complex that included multiple play field and playgrounds built on 40 acres. The scope of work included HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and sitework including storm water, fire suppression, lighting, communications, landscaping, masonry roofing, concrete, and environmental remediation. Catamount completed the work in five phases and included design considerations for severe weather within an accelerated four-month schedule.
